The War For the Tablet Device

A while back I wrote a post questioning the future of the iPad, or more generally the tablet as the wave of the future. Well, the questioning is over. Now that I've spent significant time with the iPad, I find the device to be incredibly compelling. Apparently, I'm not the only one either. There have been numerous tablet-related announcements lately, including the "PlayBook" tablet by blackberry, the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Tab, and numerous windows 7-powered tablets.

The Differences between Usability and User Experience

The rapid growth of RIA technology into the lives of every day people just a few years ago has carried both the usability and user experience industries to a new high in popularity. The success of software (particularly on the web) has driven both of these terms into our vernacular, and yet they are still often confused or thought to be synonymous. Rombla: powerful, online, WYSIWYG Flash-site builder

In case you missed all the adjectives in the title, Rombla is a powerful online WYSIWYG flash-site building RIA. Created and hosted by the folks at Piria, the app is geared towards bridging the gap between web designers and their clients. In this entry, I'll talk about how Rombla works, some of it's cooler features, and give screen shots and links to a site I made with it.
