Sustainability made simple(r)
A lot of people talk about prioritizing sustainability when making consumer decisions, but it can be tough to get good info on what choices are more sustainable, and to find the right tools to follow through on making them.

Here's where design comes in, and specifically the designers at Cooper, who've come up with something they call the Economizer.
The Economizer, as yet a sketch service concept, would be a set of Internet-aware devices, and a bundled software package, that would monitor home power use and help reduce it, provide detailed, mobile-accessible info on the environmental impact of buying various products, and give consumers with a range of other ways to live a lower-impact, more economical life. The goal: "connecting behavior to impact, and by suggesting achievable action... [to] empower people to make changes to their lifestyle that are both cost-effective and sustainable." Nice.
